The PDT-100 is equipped with two discrete input and output signals. The input signals can be polled to determine if they have changed state. They can also be used to trigger the transmission of messages (i.e. as an event trigger). Applications include monitoring of door closures, vehicle status, etc. In addition to its normal mode of operation, with continuous power applied, connected to a data terminal, the PDT-100 can also be operated: a) in a low power mode for supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) applications and, b) in a stand-alone mode that provides for autonomous functionality without the need for an external data terminal. |
