Custom Capacity Service
SkyTerra Custom Capacity Service™ is a contract service offered on SkyTerra's next generation satellite system. Custom Capacity Service™ enables private network service providers to fully customize bandwidth, satellite downlink power, and beam coverage to accommodate their requirements; and may be contracted for the life of the satellite system. The contracting customers will be able to choose their own air interface and further realize maximum flexibility by reconfiguring the satellite beams as needed during the life of the contract. In effect, this allows the customer its own virtual satellite system at a fraction of the cost. Custom Capacity Service™ enables customers to essentially obtain their own "mini-MSS satellite" as part of a larger system.
Custom Capacity Service™ permits commercial and government customers to focus their spectrum and power on specific geographic areas that are of interest to them and not waste spectrum or power on areas that are not part of their business plan.
