SkyTerra Appoints Gary Epstein as Executive Vice President of Law and Regulation

Prior to joining Latham & Watkins, Mr. Epstein was Chief of the Common Carrier Bureau at the FCC. At the FCC he directed the development and implementation of key policies in such areas as market competition, access charges, cellular radio, satellite spacing and FCC international policies.

Mr. Epstein holds a Doctor of Law degree from HarvardLawSchool and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from LehighUniversity.
SkyTerra is developing an integrated satellite-terrestrial communications network, based on SkyTerra’s patented ancillary terrestrial component (ATC) technology. The company expects its next-generation network will provide seamless, transparent and ubiquitous wireless coverage of the United States and Canada to conventional handsets.
